Print Mold Design (PMD) is a technique that combines screen printing, thin-film and injection molding to create stylish and functional surfaces of high quality on complex geometric shapes.
The process begins by screen printing colours one at a time on transparent plastic sheets. The sheets are then shaped and punched before being back-injected with plastic. This allows the creation of advanced and detailed realistic depth and light effects, outstanding matte and gloss contrasts and tactile surfaces that enhance the product’s premium feel.
With PMD from our partner KURZ’s subsidiary BURG DESIGN, you get an industry-leading solution that combines advanced surface decoration with the latest technology, where the design is adapted to specific project requirements.
We also offer the possibility to integrate ultra-thin touch sensors from KURZ’s subsidiary PolyIC, making your products even more functional and interactive.
